The Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia-CEDIA aims to encourage and coordinate RDi projects (Research, Development and innovation) for the development of application of advanced technologies, in areas of ICT focused on scientific and educational development of Ecuadorian society. The Red CEDIA should promote the development of new applications among its members, facilitating and promoting collaboration among its members through applications that require the use of facilities.

In 2014, 3 Work Groups were formed: GT-Repositories, GT-Telemedicine and GT-IDE's. The objective of this invite was to strengthen, promote, and motivate research activities, according to the area of interest of the Work Group among its members.

The Work Groups are composed of researchers and technicians from at least four member institutions of CEDIA and / or non-member institutions of CEDIA, who carry out activities in a specific field, working to achieve sustainability through products or services for the benefit of the members of CEDIA and the community in general.

Financing by CEDIA for the activities of the Work Groups, will have a maximum duration of thirty-six months. During this period, the working groups must implement the necessary means to facilitate their future operation and make them eligible to receive funding from sources other than CEDIA, whether of public or private origin.

Application Process

Those interested should send, along with the proposal of the formation of the working group, the letters of responsibility signed by the legal representative of the participating institutions, and the curriculum vitae of each of the researchers included in the proposal, using the easychair tool until 11:59 p.m. on January 5, 2018, which must contain the project proposal in PDF format as an attached document.


Mail the letters of responsibility signed by the legal representative of the participating institutions and the curriculum vitae of each of the investigators included in the proposal to the CEDIA offices in Cuenca.
