The call seeks to investigate and apply next-generation analytical methods in wastewater monitoring, in order to optimize, control and solve problems in biological nutrient removal (BNR) processes. Through a combination of literature review, utility surveys, and case studies, the project focuses on identifying remediation strategies and developing an updated guidance document to serve treatment plant operators. This call is open to entities both inside and outside the US, including educational institutions, research organizations, government agencies, and consultants.

Research scholarship (research fellowship, PhD, postdoctoral) is available for postgraduate researchers in any discipline (possessing a master's degree is the minimum qualification required) who plan to come to Switzerland to conduct research or continue studies at the doctoral or postdoctoral level. Research scholarships are awarded at all Swiss cantonal universities, schools of applied sciences and the two federal institutes of technology, as well as at the four research institutes. Each year, the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and more than 180 countries. The beneficiaries are selected by the body that grants them, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS).

The grant, funded by the Institute for Equity in Developmental Innovations, offers financial support to students who have ideas for two programs: 1) child abuse prevention and youthful; or 2) support survivors of abuse. The Institute for Equity in Development Innovations thinks of a future in which child abuse will be history. Abuse of children and young people can occur even in the criminal justice and social care systems, unlike what is often shown in the media. Children and young people are often neglected when it comes to developing solutions for future generations. This scholarship will be accessible to people regardless of their age, (dis)ability or society's preconceived notions about their ability. Students can effectively address child and youth abuse.
