EDUROAM (education roaming) is a free, secure global roaming service network that offers internet connectivity to students, researchers and academic staff from their own institutions and when visiting other participating institutions around the world.
Using their institutional credentials, users can easily connect to the network at universities, research centers, and affiliated libraries without requiring additional configuration.
How does it work?
EDUROAM works through international cooperation between educational and research institutions. When connecting to the eduroam network at any participating institution, users enter their institutional credentials only once. This gives them secure access to the internet without the need to re-authenticate, facilitating mobility and access to online resources for students, researchers and academic staff, regardless of their location.
