Honeypots

It's a cybersecurity benefit that uses a public IP address to be the target of a cyberattack. This service is preventative, as it allows for the analysis of potential threats and aims to strengthen the security of institutions to prevent actual attacks.

How does it work?

A honeypot is designed to attract attacks like a honeypot attracts bees (potential attackers), in order to analyze which port they attack, how they work, and the tools the attackers use.

Benefits:

  1. It prevents a real cyberattack, because it allows you to analyze the procedures and techniques used by the attackers.
  2. Generates statistics, develops policies or improvement actions to strengthen the security systems of the members.
