The Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia CEDIA has the mission of fostering, promoting and coordinating the development of scientific research, academia, innovation, technology transfer, entrepreneurship, internationalization and offering services related to these and other related areas to its members and those authorized by the Assembly.
In January 2022, CEDIAinvited all its member institutions to participate in a call for proposals from their various knowledge, research, and transfer funds, with the aim of fostering collaboration among the different actors in the innovation ecosystem. Among these funds is the R&D&I Fund, formerly CEPRA, the main source of funding for university research projects.
With the aim of addressing and strengthening research skills in teachers at technical and technological institutes, as well as promoting the articulation of these skills towards a knowledge transfer process in the productive sector, the creation of a new specific fund for Institutes has been proposed.
The “R&D&I Institutes FUND” aims to provide funding for mentoring processes and the execution of applied research, technological development and innovation projects proposed by CEDIAmember institutions, specifically institutes, that contribute to the development of the country.
The call for applications will be open only to member institutes of the CEDIAnetwork, from August 8, 2022 to October 8, 2022. Participation will be allowed in any area of knowledge, in accordance with the policies established in the NEXT by CEDIAguidelines.
