This is the second term of the ESPOL rector as president of the Corporation.
Rectors of higher education institutions met at the General Assembly of CEDIA , held at the facilities of the Salesiana Polytechnic University, Cuenca headquarters. At this meeting, several topics for the educational and scientific development of the country were addressed.
In this space, the election of Cecilia Paredes, rector of the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral ESPOL, as President of CEDIA for the period 2024-2027 was also carried out. With extensive experience in research and educational management, Paredes assumes this position for the second consecutive time with the commitment to promote inter-institutional collaboration and strengthen Ecuador's presence in the international academic field.
In addition to the election of the new president, various scholarship and CONNECT funding opportunities were presented during the assembly. These resources represent a significant boost for research and academic excellence in the country, consolidating the joint commitment of higher education institutions to the scientific and academic development of Ecuador.
The CEDIA General Assembly was not only a space for decision-making, but also an example of the commitment and collaboration between the country's universities and research centers.
