Today, she represents our country in the LUCY mission program
Two months ago, Javier Valdiviezo, Academic Coordinator of CEDIA , received a formal invitation to be part of the launch of the Lucy mission from Cape Canaveral.
This invitation was extended due to Javier's career as a researcher in topics related to risk and disaster prevention and his specialization in Georeferenced Information Systems, which links him as an important delegate in Latin America.
Lucy is the first mission to study Trojan asteroids that orbit the Sun at the distance of Jupiter, and its launch will be this Saturday, October 16.
