ESTALMAT is a project to ENCOURAGE MATHEMATICAL TALent that has been developed in Spain since 1998. This project was created with the support of the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences, sponsored by the Higher Council for Scientific Research (CSIC) of Spain.
The objective of ESTALMAT is to stimulate mathematical talent through extracurricular classes for students from fiscal, fiscal and private schools in the province of Azuay and Chimborazo, with the collaboration of outstanding teachers who will also receive continuous training "
Based on this objective, CEDIA has signed a framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation with the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral - ESPOL, which aims to determine the conditions for the development of the program for the Stimulation of Mathematical Talent in the province of Guayas, through the logistical support of ESPOL, workshops to stimulate mathematical thinking will be provided; these workshops will be given by teachers trained to carry out the project, additionally, these activities will be endorsed by CEDIA and ESPOL, which will allow the launch of the first promotion of ESTALMAT in the province of Guayas.
