As part of our management and support to society when the global health crisis due to COVID began, CEDIA, through its Academic area, carried out several webinar-type events, training sessions on different topics, which aim to train teachers, researchers, librarians, technicians, students of our member institutions and the general public.
Our Continuing Education School (EFC), implementing new teaching and learning methods, launched live webinars through our social media channelsCEDIAEC on our Facebook page and YouTube channel, generating a total of 34 FREE webinars by the end of May. These virtual events reached a total of 7,152 participants across the various topics presented by the School, which aim to promote online education in the country.
Among the events offered to CEDIAMember Institutions were 21 FREE webinars and 27 bibliographic services training sessions. As part of our collaborative activities with our database providers, we requested the dissemination of training on the use and application of their bibliographic services to our members. These events resulted in a total of 8,113 people being trained on bibliographic platforms of academic interest.
As a management indicator, it can be mentioned that at the end of May, the CEDIA Academy area had trained a total of 15,265 people.
