CEDIA announces results of the CONNECT 2024 call for funds 

This program promotes the projects of the Research, Development and Innovation Ecosystem.

CEDIA remains committed to strengthening research and innovation in Ecuador. This year, the call for CONNECT funds has demonstrated notable participation from academic institutions in the country.

Researchers still have the opportunity to participate in open calls, thus promoting the scientific and technological development of the country.

As of June 20, 2024, the results for each fund are detailed:

The call for the Divulga Fund has been closed due to the exhaustion of available funds. In total, 33 applications were received, of which 15 were selected. Of the remaining proposals, 10 were rejected and 7 are in the process of review by the Executive Directorate.

Fund 1 to 1

To date, 7 applications have been received for the 1 to 1 Fund. The call for this fund will remain open until September 2024 or until available funds are exhausted.

Speaker Fund

The Speaker Fund keeps its call open until September 2024 or until its funds are exhausted. So far, two applications have been received from the University of Experimental Technology – YACHAY, of which one was awarded with a total budget of $4,000.00.

Register Fund

The 2024 call for the Registra Fund has been closed. 32 applications were registered, of which 24 were selected to receive financing.

Avante Fund

The Avante Fund has closed its call for the year 2024. 23 applications were received, of which 15 were selected based on a priority order of qualifications obtained out of 100 points, until the total assigned budget is met.

R&D&i Fund XVIII:

Applications closed on July 1, 2024. 115 applications were received. Winners will be announced on September 30, 2024.

CEDIA continues to work on the evaluation and allocation of funds to promote the development of research and academia in Ecuador. The open calls continue to receive proposals and active participation is expected from researchers and academic institutions in the country.
