Globally and for many countries, the pace of progress towards universal health (UHC) has slowed over the past decade
It is projected that by 2030 only half of the world's population will have access to primary health care (PHC) services, a foundation for achieving UHC. This will subject billions 1 of people to substandard, unreliable and relatively expensive health services, limiting their access to quality healthcare, increasing their vulnerability to communicable and non-communicable diseases.
Transform Health was created to respond to these challenges by bringing together local, regional and global players from multiple sectors dedicated to achieving UHC in the digital age. It works in favor of health and people, particularly women and youth, and communities that would benefit most from the digital transformation of health systems, as well as governments, organizations and institutions that recognize and support the fundamental role of digital technologies and data for an improved health system.
CEDIA , through its eHealth by CEDIA program, has been selected as the National Coordinator of Transform Health, this global movement that promotes the insertion of technology in health to improve its access, make it equitable and sustainable. Currently, we are forming an intersectoral coalition, where the following will intervene: decision makers, the public and private sectors, academia and civil society; in order to generate a participatory strategy that improves the chances of achieving universal health coverage (UHC) by the year 2030. If you are part of these sectors and work on issues related to health and technology, we invite you to form part of this movement, write to us at: cedia
