CEDIA became the technical advisory coordinator for the Horizon Europe Program

This program finances transnational collaboration projects.

Horizon Europe is the framework program for research and innovation of the European Union that has allocated a budget of 95,517 million euros for the period 2021-2027 through different calls for funds and scholarships, most of which are competitive.

This program finances transnational collaboration projects that include activities such as research, technological development, demonstration and innovation, as well as horizontal activities to support innovation; whose purpose is to achieve a scientific, technological, economic and social impact of EU investments in R&I.

For this year, CEDIA has been integrated not only as one of the National Contact Points (NPC) but also as the technical coordinator of the program, hand in hand with Senscyt in its capacity as governing body for public policy in higher education.

Through this role, CEDIA adopts the mission of advisor to the universities in terms of dissemination, promotion, technical support and accompaniment in the linking processes of the Higher Education Institutions members of CEDIA , for each of the calls contemplated within of the European financing program.

This role seeks to increase the participation of Ecuadorian HEIs in external financing programs and strengthen the articulated work between international research groups.
