We celebrated our librarians with an afternoon of presentations and coffee.
In honor of Librarian's Day in Ecuador, CEDIA recognized the librarians of its member institutions. University library units are responsible for providing access to academic and scientific information for the university community; they are spaces where users are encouraged to engage with books, fostering a love of reading.
This virtual event took place on Monday, February 22nd at 3:00 PM. We were honored to have the participation of speakers Patricia Testa from Mendoza, Argentina, and Cristina Mantilla from Ambato, Ecuador, who presented on topics of interest such as "Information Baristas: Librarians" and "Raising Awareness in Libraries for People with Disabilities." This virtual meeting was attended by more than 120 people nationwide.
