CEDIA , together with the Ministry of Telecommunications and the Information Society – MINTEL, the Inter-American Development Bank – IDB, USAID and Datalat, works on the construction of a secure Artificial Intelligence ecosystem in Ecuador.
This initiative, aligned with CEDIA 's strategic lines, seeks to bring together institutions from various sectors to promote and execute actions that promote development and territorial impact through the responsible and ethical use of AI.
The workshop Towards Building a Safe AI Ecosystem in Ecuador was a first step in this process, bringing together representatives from the academic, government and civil society sectors to exchange experiences, identify needs and lay the foundations for the development of a policy. comprehensive public on AI.
During the workshop, key topics were addressed such as:
- Governance : establishing regulatory and ethical frameworks for the use of AI.
- Prevention : development of mechanisms to mitigate the risks associated with AI.
- Training : strengthening the capabilities of Ecuadorians in the responsible use of AI.
