For the first time this service will be available to companies.
Technological Surveillance and Competitive Intelligence (VTIC) is an activity that allows universities and companies to deploy their scientific and technological work, through frequent and systematic observation and analysis of the environment to identify threats and development opportunities.
CEDIA , through its Innovation and Technology Transfer (ITT) team, has led this journey. Since 2019, their efforts have focused on two initial components:
1. The promotion of the VTIC culture.
2. The transversal application of VTIC in research and innovation projects.
In this way, the corporation's first step was to materialize an interactive digital space with new knowledge for R&D&I. This is how CONNECT was born, the first surveillance and technology transfer magazine in Ecuador. In its latest and twelfth edition the magazine studies the plastics sector; For the next edition, hemp will be analyzed with a special look at the regulations that companies and entrepreneurs must face.
During these years, CEDIA has turned VTIC into a fundamental tool for the consolidation of new innovation scenarios based on national experiences. In addition, the service is positioned in the financial and Fintech sector, thanks to the results achieved with the application of VTIC in an important financial institution in the country, providing key and strategic information for innovation.
Thanks to these results, this service will be available for the first time to interested companies. CEDIA specialists will be able to align the VTIC to the needs of multidisciplinary projects to explore technological solutions that have been developed around the world.
