In this first stage, the channel has reached 12 universities, collaborated with 31 researchers and 89 students.
CEDIA launched Utrend, a science outreach platform that aims to transform how research is shared and understood in Ecuador. With a dynamic and accessible approach, Utrend positions itself as the leading channel for connecting society with the scientific advances that are changing lives.
The project was officially launched on December 18th at an event that brought together researchers, academic representatives, collaborators, and members of CEDIA. The platform combines communication strategies, audiovisual production, and creative design to disseminate the results of CEDIA-funded projects. This comprehensive approach ensures that scientific knowledge is not only visible but also understandable to a broad audience.
In this first phase, Utrend has reached 12 universities, collaborating with 31 researchers and 89 students. These figures demonstrate the platform's immediate impact, which promises to become a bridge between science and the public, while also promoting the recognition of Ecuadorian talent in the academic and technological fields.
The platform offers a website with multimedia materials, including videos, podcasts, infographics, and text, designed to capture the attention of both specialists and the general public. In addition, the launch event featured interactive installations that illustrated how Utrend transforms complex data into accessible and visually engaging narratives.
The project also reaffirms the importance of collaboration: universities, students, and researchers have joined the effort to communicate science in a creative and effective way.
