The meeting brought together in Brussels national structures and European bodies linked to international academic cooperation.
CEDIA participated in the NEO-ICP-ENFP 2026 annual meeting, held on January 26 and 27 in Brussels, Belgium, in its role as the national contact point for the Erasmus+ program. This strategic forum brought together representatives from the European Commission, national Erasmus+ agencies, national program offices, ministries of education, and higher education institutions from partner countries.
The meeting aimed to strengthen international coordination, promote the exchange of good practices and analyze the challenges and perspectives of the Erasmus+ program in terms of academic mobility, institutional cooperation and capacity building in higher education.
During the working sessions, key topics were addressed, such as support mechanisms for student and faculty mobility, the role of national structures in the implementation of the program, strategies to promote inclusion in academic exchanges, and the impact of mobility on the institutional strengthening of universities.
In addition, the program included specific meetings of the National Erasmus+ Offices (NEO) and the Erasmus+ National Focal Points (ENFP), as well as regional sessions aimed at identifying common priorities and strengthening coordination between partner countries.
CEDIA 's participation in this space reaffirms its commitment to the internationalization of Ecuadorian higher education, academic cooperation with Europe, and the generation of new opportunities for mobility and collaboration for the country's institutions.
