The Corporation promotes excellence in university teaching and the development of innovative practices.
CEDIA opens the Innova ELSA 2024 competition, an initiative to promote the creative application of educational technologies and encourage teachers and researchers from member institutions to use the E-Learning System and Analytics ELSA plugin, a techno-pedagogical platform that analyzes data based on Moodle to improve the quality of the teaching-learning process.
The competition will reward the teacher who demonstrates effective and innovative use of ELSA in their educational practice. To participate, researchers and teachers from CEDIA member institutions must register and develop proposals on free topics, each with a different course. Participation is individual and requires taking a mandatory ELSA training course.
Registrations will be accepted from April 8 to May 7, through this link: https://es.surveymonkey.com/r/PSKT9WX . The mandatory training course will take place from April 29 to May 3.
The selected participants must execute their proposals, using ELSA with a minimum of 10 students, and present evidence and results of their application. The winner will receive the opportunity to participate in an international academic event selected by CEDIA , as well as an interview to socialize her proposal.
The competition is divided into two phases: the first consists of the presentation of proposals, evaluated by an academic commission. While the second involves the execution and application of said proposals, evaluated by a court. The evaluation rubrics are based on instructional design and educational innovation criteria adapted from recognized evaluation guides.
With this initiative, CEDIA seeks to promote excellence in university teaching and the development of innovative practices that promote educational quality in Ecuador. Those interested can find more information and consult the complete contest rules on the official CEDIA website.
