Research and Education Networks in Latin America will benefit from this initiative
CEDIA 's CSIRT, through its years of integration and collaboration with various peer organizations in the region, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at creating the Cybersecurity Group of Research and Education Networks in Latin America. Among the organizations involved are the executive leaders of CEDIA (Ecuador), CUDI (Mexico), REUNA (Chile), RNP (Brazil), and RedCLARA (Latin America). This document was signed during the TICAL 2021 Conference on September 2nd.
The signed MoU seeks to "facilitate the implementation of specific activities, with the objective of establishing the minimum requirements for the identification, establishment, coordination, development and implementation of the Cybersecurity Group, through collaboration between the member networks of RedCLARA, based on the parties, in the area of Information Security and Cybersecurity.".
