Montevideo hosted the 2022 meeting of academic networks in Latin America and the Caribbean
On November 14th, the event “Open Dialogues for the Digital Transformation of Latin America and the Caribbean” took place in Montevideo, Uruguay. This event brought together Executive Directors of national education and research networks from Latin America and the Caribbean, as well as rectors of their member institutions. This international academic event addressed topics focused on digital transformation processes in Latin America, presenting innovative proposals and success stories from the various academic networks.
CEDIA participated with a delegation presenting our success stories such as: Blockchain, cloud, implementation of the personal data protection law, programs focused on digital health, electronic voting platform and more initiatives that have contributed to Ecuadorian academia.
We are very proud to mention that our participation was highlighted at this international meeting, receiving thanks and congratulations from the NRENs that have received support to generate services and platforms through our infrastructure and knowledge.
Additionally, rectors who are members of the CEDIA Executive Council learned firsthand about the management of education and research networks at the LATAM and Caribbean level, thus experiencing firsthand CEDIA 's reach in the region and the contribution we make to academia internationally.
