CEDIA signed an institutional cooperation agreement with the Reference for 2 additional years to the SPECIFIC COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE SECRETARIAT OF HIGHER EDUCATION, SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY AND INNOVATION AND CEDIA , with the purpose of continuing to support the operational management of the "Federated Network" project. of Institutional Repositories of Scientific Publications of Latin America and the Caribbean - LA REFERENCIA" to share and give visibility to the scientific production generated in higher education and scientific research institutions, generating interoperability and information management as a result, through of actions for this purpose, framed in the principles of open access, interoperability and quality. With this agreement, the Network of Open Access Repositories of Ecuador - RRAAE is the country's national node for the international project LA REFERENCIA.
Currently, the RRAAE makes visible the scientific academic production of 65 institutions through its institutional repositories and digital journals, with more than 436,595 publications such as undergraduate thesis, master's thesis, doctoral thesis, articles, books that are in open access for the institutions.
