The initiative, funded by the European Union, will strengthen digital governance, cybersecurity and public data management in the country.
CEDIA was part of the official launch of the Tinkuy Program, an initiative promoted by the European Union together with the National Government, aimed at strengthening the digital transformation of the Ecuadorian State and improving the quality of digital public services for the benefit of citizens.
The event took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Human Mobility and was attended by state authorities, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations linked to the modernization and digitization of the public sector.
The program, which will have funding of $5.5 million and is planned to be implemented over the next four years, will be implemented by an international consortium made up of the Foundation for the Internationalization of Public Administrations (FIAP), e-Governance Academy of Estonia (eGA) and CEDIA.
In this context, CEDIA will assume a strategic role in the development of the data management system and social information analysis, contributing to strengthening institutional interoperability, data governance and evidence-based decision-making within the Ecuadorian public sector.
Among the program's objectives are optimizing the GOB.EC platform, strengthening national capacities in data protection and cybersecurity, and developing key information systems that allow for improved public policy planning, including the monitoring of priority social indicators.
CEDIA 's participation in this initiative reaffirms its position as a strategic actor in the country's digital transformation, consolidating its contribution to strengthening technological capabilities, data management, and building a more integrated, efficient, and sustainable public digital ecosystem.
