CEDIA , within the framework of the ECHO project, presents educommunicative material for the promotion of adequate medical care for children

The publication seeks to address the right to health and its implications.

Within the framework of the execution of the commitments of the ECHO CEDIA , and with the support of the University of the Republic of Uruguay (UDELAR), they launch a special edition of the children's magazine Chispiola , addressing the issue of children's health from a perspective of rights and the promotion of adequate health care.

Chispiola, recognized for its focus on freedom, rights, security and good treatment for girls and boys, offers sections and activities focused on contemporary pedagogical theories. Its contents are aligned with transversal axes such as interculturality, environmental education, gender and the rights of children and adolescents.

The publication, which was prepared by CEDIA and health professionals from Ecuador and UDELAR, seeks to address the right to health and its implications, through dynamic, friendly and easy-to-understand content, which is designed to strengthen learning processes. of elementary and middle level students of Basic General Education.

This special edition of Chispiola, which, like all others, is endorsed by the Ministry of Education of Ecuador, MINEDUC, and available on the official website of this entity as a national teaching resource, will also have a physical distribution in educational institutions, both in urban and rural sectors of Azuay.

In parallel to this initiative, an ECHO session will be organized on Thursday, December 7 at 7:00 p.m. This event will be aimed at rectors, teachers and children's health personnel, offering them a deep understanding of the contents of the magazine, the objective is to provide professionals with new perspectives about children's health services so that they can address this topic with children. and girls in their work contexts, thus promoting comprehensive and conscious education about health from an early age.

This significant step in health education, promoted by CEDIA , with the support of UDELAR and other key collaborators, represents a milestone in the promotion of holistic education and the empowerment of children in Ecuador, through a revolutionary project such as Project ECHO is.
