The World Bank, the European Investment Bank (EIB), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), GIZ, and the Global Covenant of Mayors have established
a fund that provides technical assistance and capacity building to support cities in developing and emerging countries during the initial planning and implementation stages of sustainable urban projects. The program promotes low-carbon and climate-resilient strategies and facilitates access to international funding sources for green infrastructure, sustainable mobility, and energy management.
