COVID-19 diagnosis based on image processing from dermatological and rheumatic lesions

General Objective: To support the diagnosis of COVID-19 using an algorithm based on the robust processing of images from dermatological and rheumatic lesions.

Specific Objectives

  • Describe the dermatological and rheumatic manifestations that most frequently occur during the evolution of COVID-19.
  • Build an image bank with clinical and laboratory elements compatible with the identified manifestations.
  • To robustly identify, analyze, classify, and categorize large amounts of information that allow for the modeling of clinical behaviors.
  • Design processing algorithms to estimate whether images of dermatological and rheumatic manifestations could represent a clinical suspicion of COVID-19.
