Decision support system based on artificial intelligence to stimulate the formal commercial sector of intermediate cities

General Objective: Design the prototype of a generalized software tool for decision making based on artificial intelligence that allows establishing commercial and/or business strategies.

Specific objectives:

  • Define the variables that will be part of the model based on a bibliometric analysis and
literary review of business decision making.
    • Indicator: At least 50 related literary sources will be reviewed.
    • Means of verification: Bibliometric and literary review report, through an article viewer.
  • Analyze the business situation of the commercial sector in the intermediate cities that are part of the analysis, through the analysis of secondary sources.
    • Indicator: Companies analyzed/Companies participating in the study.
    • Means of verification: A report is presented on the business situation of the commercial sector of the cities analyzed.
  • Generate the modeling and optimization of a predictive genetic algorithm (GA), by developing an information platform necessary as input to the GA, which will constitute the optimizer and predictor modules of the system.
    • Indicator: Conceptual design of each module through graphic diagrams / Software code / Testing
    • Means of verification: Optimization and predictive model with defined parameters for the adaptation function (fitness).
  • Conceptually design and develop a Decision Support System (DSS), which involves the extraction of information elements, the design of interfaces, the incorporation of the predictor and optimizer modules and the creation of reports from multiple files.
    • Indicator: Global conceptual design through graphic schemes / Software code / Testing.
    • Means of verification: Technical report on the conceptual design of the Decision Support System.
  • Disseminate the methodology and the work carried out to promote its application in other sectors and/or provinces (geographical locations) with a broad impact on decision-making based on artificial intelligence, through national and regional collaboration networks.
    • Indicator: Number of publications made.
    • Means of verification: Scientific and technical publications; outreach events in the business sector and at participating universities.
