Design of PET hydrolase enzymes through ancestral sequence reconstruction.

General Objective: Design recombinant PET hydrolase enzymes through ancestral sequence reconstruction for the effective degradation of PET.

Specific objectives:

  • Design PET hydrolase enzymes through ancestral sequence reconstruction.
  • To evaluate the kinetic properties and esterase activity of the designed PET hydrolase enzymes by ancestral sequence reconstruction.
  • Evaluate the physical and morphological properties of enzymatically treated PET plastic films.
