Development of recycled wood connections for the structural use of bamboo in sustainable construction in Ecuador

General Objective: Make available for sustainable construction with bamboo a system of structural connections made with recycled wood that reduces the use of materials such as cement and metals.

Specific objectives:

  • Carry out laboratory tests and characterization tests of the different materials used, to determine the physical and mechanical properties of the AVECE connections made with available wood, known and used in Ecuador to compare their acting stress.
  • Manufacture the AVECE connections manufacturing machine to expand your production to commercial scales.
  • Carry out the national market analysis for AVECE connections to identify potential customers and their availability to pay.
  • It makes the system of structural connections known to its potential users through training courses in its use, construction of demonstration buildings that exhibit its operation and scientific publications that disseminate its technical characteristics.
