General Objective: Develop the first biobank of lytic bacteriophages against S. enterica for application in the poultry industry
Specific objectives:
- Isolate lytic bacteriophages from S. enterica using local hosts of avian origin and environmental samples.
- Phenotypically and genotypically characterize the isolated bacteriophages with lytic capacity of S. enterica.
- To evaluate the in vitro effectiveness of S. enterica lytic phages in slaughtered chicken skin.
