General Objective: Develop three-dimensional cellular models for biomedical research and regenerative medicine.
Specific objectives:

- Prepare biological scaffolds using natural and synthetic biopolymers.
- Select biological scaffolds with potential for the growth of mammalian cells by evaluating their morphological, mechanical and biological properties.
- Use the selected scaffolds as three-dimensional matrices for the growth of normal and cancerous mammalian cell lines for applications in regenerative medicine and biomedical research.
