Ecuador present in the international AURA program

Students from the University of Guayaquil and Yachay Tech were selected to participate

A couple of months ago, the ASSOCIATION OF UNIVERSITIES FOR RESEARCH IN ASTRONOMY (AURA) launched its annual call for Latin American students to participate in the intensive program of interdisciplinary classes focused on the study of tools applied to the management of large astronomical data, called “LA SERENA SCHOOL FOR DATA SCIENCE”. As part of this call, CEDIAextended the invitation to its member institutions. As a result of this activity, AURA selected two students from the University of Guayaquil and YACHAY TECH.

We extend our sincerest congratulations to Dayana Mishel Zhigue and Juan Carlos Cedeño, students from Yachay Tech and the University of Guayaquil respectively, who will be part of this international project, with representation from countries such as Chile, the United States, and Ecuador.
