Technological upgrade of network equipment.
CEDIA achieved a significant milestone in 2018 by implementing its own network for academia nationwide. However, as the needs of institutions evolve and the installed equipment becomes outdated, a comprehensive technological upgrade has become crucial.
This update includes several key areas to maintain high standards (world-class) for the provision of connectivity services, ranging from replacing equipment installed in institutions, updating operating systems to the latest stable versions recommended by the manufacturer, new network management and administration systems, among others.
The importance of this upgrade lies in the need to stay at the forefront of technology, implementing capabilities greater than those installed in the initial phase. By replacing the existing equipment, we will guarantee optimal performance, greater efficiency, and better support for critical connectivity operations (all 10Gbps connections across the universities), as well as keeping systems updated to protect our members' traffic.
With this initiative, CEDIA ensures that it continues to provide a high-quality, robust and reliable network infrastructure, in line with current and future technological demands.
