ESTALMAT Program

ESTALMAT is a project to stimulate mathematical talent that has been developing in Spain since 1998

 Estalmat Program

This project was created with the support of the Royal Academy of Exact, Physical and Natural Sciences, sponsored by the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC).

CEDIA through its Executive Director, Dr. Juan Pablo Carvallo, with the endorsement of the Royal Academy of Exact and Natural Sciences of Spain, and the unwavering support of Professor Rafael Crespo García, Director of ESTALMAT in the Valencian Community, spearheaded the creation of the Mathematical Talent Incentive Program ( ESTALMAT ) in Ecuador. This pilot program began in the province of Azuay in 2019, selecting 20 young people between the ages of 12 and 14 with an aptitude for mathematics to develop their skills through various workshops designed to enhance their knowledge and interest. Due to the great success of the 2019-2021 ESTALMAT program, CEDIA continuing its support for mathematical talent development, launched a second call for applications in the province of Azuay and extended the program to the province of Chimborazo with the endorsement of the National University of Chimborazo.

Given this background, we invite 12 and 13 year old students from public, semi-private and private schools in the provinces of Azuay and Chimborazo to register for the ESTALMAT 2021 program

Registration deadline: September 20, 2021
