Meeting on Innovation and Strategies in Research Data Management
Research faces significant challenges, such as the effective management of huge volumes of data and the need to safeguard privacy, data preservation, which demands creative solutions and a profound change in established mindsets and practices.
This approach goes beyond transparency and knowledge sharing; catalyzes innovation and promotes sustainable development, integrating advanced technologies. Globally, open science is transforming the economic model of scientific research, challenging existing structures and paradigms and promoting policies that support greater inclusion and diversity.
CEDIA has been supporting the science and technology ecosystem in the country for several years through initiatives such as the Open Access Repository Network (RRAAE), the Ecuadorian Researchers Repository (REDI), the Learning Objects Repository (ROA), and the Research Data Repository. (iNData), Research Lab, training on related topics, supports the international project LA REFERENCIA. CEDIA is part of worldwide organizations such as RDA, EuroCRIS, DCMI, COAR among others.
To socialize the results of its work, CEDIA organizes the event Meeting on Innovation and Strategies in Research Data Management, which will take place on May 9 in Quito and via Zoom.
