The Competition is structured around five categories, each of them designed to recognize different aspects of academic work.
The Ecuadorian academy is preparing to celebrate a new edition of the CEDIA AWARDS, with the opening of the call for the National R&D&i Project Competition, an unprecedented category that promises to highlight talent and innovation in higher education institutions of the country. This initiative seeks to reward excellence in research, development and innovation in various areas of knowledge.
Five categories to highlight creativity and impact
The National R&D&i Project Competition is structured around five main categories, each of them designed to recognize different aspects of academic and scientific work in Ecuador:
Research and Development: this category will reward those projects that have demonstrated exceptional scientific rigor and that have contributed significantly to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields.
Innovation and Entrepreneurship: initiatives that stand out for their creativity and ability to develop innovative and disruptive solutions in the business field will be recognized.
Digital Transformation: in an increasingly digitalized world, this category will value projects that use technology to improve processes, services or products, promoting modernization and efficiency.
Sustainability and Social Responsibility: projects that, in addition to being sustainable, generate a positive impact on both society and the environment will be rewarded.
Linkage: this category will highlight those projects that strengthen collaboration between higher education institutions, industry and other social actors, promoting joint development and mutual learning.
Institutions interested in participating must submit their proposals through the EASYCHAIR , ensuring that each project is detailed and documented in accordance with the requirements of the category in which it is registered. The deadline for project submission closes on Friday, September 6, 2024.
Subsequently, a panel of experts will evaluate each proposal under criteria of research, impact, methodology, innovation, results and sustainability. The finalists will be announced on September 10, 2024, and the winners will be announced during the awards ceremony, scheduled for September 19, 2024.
The winning projects in each category will receive not only a recognition trophy, but also access to exclusive Continuing Training benefits and the opportunity to participate in a mentoring program with renowned experts.
