Institute for Employment Research (IAB) and the School of Business, Economics and Society at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU) GradAB is a structured, interdisciplinary and flexible programme. The courses provide high-level training in economic and sociological labor market and social policy research, methods and data. Quantitative and qualitative approaches are welcome. The scholarship provides financial aid of €1,600/month plus €1,800/year for participation in scientific conferences and continuing training. Additional support is offered for research visits. Furthermore, most of our GradAB participants work as junior researchers in a 26% position in one of the IAB research departments (employment subject to social security contributions/minimum gross salary of €1,105/month).
