Intellectual Property Area participated in the II ESPOCH Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technology Transfer Conference

The participation of CEDIA and other key actors in these sessions underlines the importance of collaboration between different entities.

CEDIA , through its Intellectual Property Area, participated in the II Conference on Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Technological Transfer ESPOCH 2024, an event that was held at the Higher Polytechnic School of Chimborazo – ESPOCH.

During these days, which brought together students, teachers, researchers, entrepreneurs and professionals from various sectors, the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as technology transfer, was actively promoted. The activities included a series of keynote conferences, exhibitions of innovative projects and the participation of renowned experts both nationally and internationally.

Among the speakers were Edwin Pereira from Pj Consultores, who addressed platforms to help entrepreneurs and presented a practical case on Zoho; and the Ab. Paola González from CEDIA , who gave a talk titled How to know if my research result is protectable with intellectual property . This last presentation was especially relevant for those interested in better understanding the processes and benefits of intellectual protection in the field of research.

The event was also the setting for the presentation of the winning projects of the Inn-Genius 2024 Innovation Challenge Contest and the ventures of the Inn-Cubate 2024 Incubation program, evidencing the solid link between academia and industry. These initiatives not only highlight the creative and entrepreneurial capacity of the participants, but also facilitate the transfer of knowledge and technology to the productive sector.
