Permanent Court of International Justice - United Nations The program aims to improve participants' understanding of public international law in practice and of the procedures of the Court, by involving them directly in the activities of the Court. Judicial Fellows work full-time under the supervision of a member of the Tribunal, along with the member's senior law clerk. Fellows can expect to conduct research and draft memoranda on questions of law or fact relating to cases pending before the Court, attend hearings and sessions, and perform any other duties as assigned by their respective judges. The duration of the scholarship is approximately ten months, from the beginning of September to June of the following year. Typically, the Court selects 15 participants nominated by universities around the world. The objective of the trust fund is to award scholarships to selected candidates who are nationals of developing countries
