This milestone is noteworthy considering that IPv4 is exhausted in Latin America
Thanks to CEDIA's efforts, LACNIC has approved the allocation of dedicated IP resources to the State University of Milagro and the State University of Bolívar. These resources comprise one IPv4 block (/24), one IPv6 block (/48), and one ASN. The universities will receive these resources at no additional cost. These resources are important because they allow Higher Education Institutions to strengthen their presence on the Internet and Advanced Networks, as well as provide greater autonomy in their connectivity. This milestone is particularly significant at a time when IPv4 resources have been exhausted throughout Latin America.
