General Objective: To evaluate the use of liquid biopsy as a possible diagnostic method for thyroid cancer in Ecuadorian women who self-identify as mixed race.
Specific objectives:
- Standardize the extraction of DN from liquid biopsy samples and tumor tissue from Ecuadorian women with thyroid cancer.
- Identify genetic variants through next-generation sequencing from liquid biopsy and tumor tissue.
- Classify the variants found according to their pathogenicity.
- Compare variants obtained from liquid biopsy samples and tumor tissue.
- To evaluate the effectiveness of liquid biopsy as an alternative sample to tumor tissue.
- Analyze the ancestral component of each individual under study.
