Our new model will allow us to enhance research, science, development and innovation in our country
Last November, the restructuring of our fundamental pillar, the financing of research, development and innovation in Ecuador, was officially presented at the General Assembly of Rectors. This program, which is now called “NEXT”, allows researchers and academia to enhance their research to unprecedented levels in our country.
Through NEXT, CEDIA has become the first and only research funding entity at the national level, providing support and complementary services that allow for full utilization of CEDIA's resources. This program has the necessary funds, operational capacity, know-how, and experience to achieve the stated objectives.
This restructuring will begin in January 2022, benefiting more than 42 universities and 12 member institutes of the corporation. It is worth mentioning that this is a collaborative model, which can link different actors such as the productive sector, the public sector, non-member institutions of CEDIA and foreign institutions, thus connecting needs and problems with a common goal: development in general.
