NEXT by CEDIA Program
In its path of evolution, CEDIA 's vocation has been reoriented towards the generation of services that support basic and applied scientific research, the generation, evaluation and transfer of knowledge, the link with society and internationalization, which are now the fundamental approach with which CEDIA and its NEXT program intend to support our members and their communities.
The NEXT by CEDIA program is based on 5 pillars:
- The first pillar: flexibility in the use of technological services included in the advanced network package. CEDIA members can choose from among a set of technological services, which of them make the most sense for the achievement of their objectives.
- The second pillar: A greater focus of the financing funds on research, innovation and knowledge transfer projects. A total of 8 types of funds Connect Funds divided into three categories: Knowledge Exchange; Research, development and innovation; and Technological Transfer, have been developed to accompany professors from member institutions in a continuous process of evolution, which goes from the identification of the state of the art or technique, through the development of basic and applied scientific research, to the transfer of results to industry and university entrepreneurship.
- The third pillar: The development of services that allow, in a first diagnostic stage, to identify gaps in the skills of the researchers members of our institutions and propose continuous improvement plans; in a second stage, the accompaniment for the development of competences through mentoring processes, technological surveillance and competitive intelligence; in a third stage, evaluate the results of its research and technological development processes; and finally, in a last stage, value, disclose and commercialize deliverables in the form of knowledge assets.
- The fourth pillar: Train the staff of our institutions through courses and certifications, which make it possible to fill gaps in knowledge, necessary to carry out their tasks in a better way, but which also allows them to take optimal advantage of the services that CEDIA makes available to them. . And finally,
- The fifth pillar: Support so that there is a better articulation of the efforts of our member institutions, so that the results of research and innovation processes have a greater impact on society, through links with public and private companies, ventures, unions and government agencies.
