This initiative, carried out by MetaRed Ecuador in collaboration with the Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia ( CEDIA ) and the European Union's Joint Research Centre (JRC), provides Ecuadorian universities with an adapted version of the Digital Competency Self-Assessment Tool (DigCompEdu) for their faculty. This tool will allow participating faculty, universities, and institutes to understand their level of digital competency development and thus undertake plans for personal and institutional improvement and growth. Similarly, MetaRed Ecuador will have access to aggregated data at the national level, enabling it to design competency development initiatives tailored to each country's specific context.
We are confident that this initiative can be very beneficial for the Higher Education System of Ecuador, since, as you know, it aims to achieve two fundamental objectives:
• That each institution can make a diagnosis of the skills of the teachers in its higher education institution.
Therefore, we ask that you disseminate this information as widely as possible among the teachers at your institutions.
We remind you of the information you can use to spread the word about this valuable initiative:
How can I access the recording of the meeting?

What information do universities receive?
Participating universities that request it will receive the results corresponding to their institution confidentially. MetaRed Ecuador will prepare and publish a global report with aggregated data (institutions are not identified by name in the results, and no university rankings are produced).
