Technological update of network equipment.
CEDIA generated an important milestone with the implementation of its own network since 2018 for the academy nationwide. However, as the needs of the institutions and the validity of the installed equipment advance, it has become crucial to carry out a comprehensive technological update.
This update contemplates several axes in order to maintain high standards (world class) for the provision of the connectivity service, which range from the replacement of the equipment installed in the institutions, updating the operating systems to the latest stable versions recommended by the manufacturer, new management and network administration systems, among others.
The importance of this update lies in the need to stay at the forefront of technology, implementing capacities greater than those installed in the initial phase. By replacing them, we will ensure optimal performance, greater efficiency and better support for critical connectivity operations (all 10Gbps connections at universities), as well as keeping systems up to date to protect our members' traffic.
With this initiative, CEDIA ensures that it continues to provide a quality, robust and reliable network infrastructure, in accordance with current and future technological demands.
