SpeakerDavid Vila Suero
PhD candidate, researcher and developer in the Ontological Engineering Group (OEG), of the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM). He is a technical engineer in Computer Systems, a degree in Software Engineering and a Master's in Information Technology (specializing in Distributed Systems Engineering) from the UPM. He has extensive experience in web development projects, especially in Germany where he has led and participated in numerous projects (portals, web services, e-commerce).

Currently his research interests focus on the Semantic Web, Linked Data, ontological engineering and multilingualism on the Web. On the other hand, he has participated in numerous projects related to the generation of data linked to entities such as the National Library of Spain (linked data) or the State Meteorological Agency. He is also an active contributor to various W3C and IFLA standardization groups.

SpeakerBoris Villazón Terrazas
He has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. He is currently the Linked Data Research Manager at the Laboratory, iSOCO of Madrid, Spain. Previously, he was a researcher at UPM's Ontological Engineering Group (OEG), and was the leader of Linked Data initiatives such as: GeoLinkedData, AEMET Linkedata, el Viajero, datos.bne.es, vocab.linkeddata.es, ckan.linkeddata. es, mappingpedia and linguistic.linkeddata.es.

His research interests focus on Linked Data, Semantic Web and Ontological Engineering, among others. He has participated in various European research projects, such as: Knowledge Web, OntoGrid, SEEMP, NeOn, SemsorGrid4Env, PlanetData, and Parlance, as well as in Spanish projects such as: Reimdoc, Semantic Services, Plata, Gis4Gov, WebN+1, Buscamedia and City2020. Finally, he has published more than 40 articles in journals, conferences and workshops, and is currently actively participating in W3C Working Groups: RDB2RDF, and Government Linked Data.
