Ensuring the protection of research results and intellectual property is part of our management
Last Wednesday, December 29, 2021, the Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia – CEDIA, together with the National Intellectual Property Service – SENADI, signed a framework agreement for inter-institutional cooperation.
The event was attended by the Director General of SENADI, Master María Gabriela Campoverde, and the Executive Director of CEDIA, Eng. Juan Pablo Carvallo, who agreed on the importance of generating agreements that contribute to the protection of intellectual property generated by Ecuadorian researchers through their higher education institutions.
This agreement aims to establish the terms of inter-institutional collaboration within projects and processes related to intellectual property, development, innovation, transfer or related matters, between SENADI and CEDIA or the universities that are part of CEDIA, through the services that CEDIA offers through its Innovation and Technology Transfer Coordination, as well as within the management possibilities of SENADI.
Additionally, within the framework of this event, the agreement was renewed in which CEDIA continues to be officially the Technology and Innovation Support Center – CATI in Ecuador.
