Open Innovation Events

Connecting key players in the STI Ecosystem to drive innovation!

The Open Innovation Events organized by the Ecuadorian Corporation for the Development of Research and Academia – CEDIA are spaces designed to promote creativity, collaborative work, and the solution of real-world challenges through innovative methodologies. These events may include challenges, bootcamps, hackathons, and other collaborative formats .

The objective is to bring together various actors in the Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) Ecosystem to generate concrete solutions to specific problems in the public, private and academic sectors.

This is a call for proposals we've launched to encourage participation from various members of the innovation ecosystem. They submit proposals with a business idea or a social innovation project.

The goal of this initiative is to foster innovation and find solutions to local problems.

How does it work?

Through an open call, a business or social innovation idea is selected. We handle the event organization and the methodology, which may include boot camps, hackathons, and other formats. We also create the call for applications, including guidelines, information on how to use the platforms for uploading information, and, with the support of our network of experts, we provide training for applicants.

Benefits:

  1. Collaborative work with different institutions that are part of the innovation ecosystem.
  2. Generation of new products and benefits for participating organizations.
  3. Direct contact with suppliers and customers of the organizations.
  4. The actors in the innovation ecosystem can generate new ideas to improve their profits.
