CEDIA is a fundamental pillar in the implementation of Cybersecurity Strategies and Development of Academic Capacities in Ecuador.
In order to strengthen cybersecurity in Ecuador, collaboration with initiatives such as Cyber4Dev and EUCyberNet has made it possible to transfer advanced knowledge and experiences from Europe and Estonia to the country.
Over the past three years, CEDIA has played a key role as a strategic partner in these initiatives, focusing on cybersecurity awareness and the development of academic CSIRTs to consolidate local capabilities. As part of these actions, in autumn 2022, a study visit to Estonia was organized, where employees of the Corporation and the Ecuadorian Government had the opportunity to learn first-hand about Estonia's cybersecurity strategies, as well as the crucial role that The academy plays in the implementation and continuous improvement of these policies.
This exchange showed that CEDIA is a key actor in the cybersecurity ecosystem in Ecuador, facilitating innovation and the development of capabilities for the benefit of society.
The strategies of these projects include strengthening critical digital infrastructures, training local specialists, and boosting international cooperation to create a safer and more resilient cyber environment.
