The CEDIA Rectors' Community carried out its second immersion

16 higher education institutions visited the ecosystem of Israel.

The Rectors' Community is a CEDIA program that strengthens the professional and innovation growth of our member universities. This initiative offers top university leaders high-level training, including immersion in leading innovation ecosystems in Latin America and Europe.

On this occasion, a total of 16 higher education institutions participated in an immersion program in Israel's ecosystem, one of the most innovative countries in the world. For nine days, the officials toured the main innovation hubs of the Middle Eastern country, including:

  •  Mekorot, the country's main national water company, provides 80% of Israel's drinking water.
  • TÄCHLES Technologies one of the main High Tech advocates in Israel.
  • Volcani Institute, one of the most important agrotech institutes.
  •  The Weizmann Institute, the country's leading scientific institute known for having the highest technology transfer rate in the world.
  • Tel Aviv University.
  • Gordon College, the first and only institution in the country to have an immersive learning room.
  • Kinneret Academic Institute and its innovation center, the main innovation hub in agriculture, water and sustainability.
  • Israel Council on Higher Education

This second immersion facilitated the creation of learning networks, and participants shared experiences and ideas for implementing various practices within Ecuador to strengthen the country's education system.
The next immersion for the Community of Rectors will take place in 2024, ensuring that the ecosystem remains a pioneer in innovation and education.
