The ESTALMAT program opens the doors to learn about NASA and participate in international Olympics

These achievements drive CEDIA to continue creating programs to promote interest in different sciences.

Adrián Araujo and Odalys Quishpe, students of the ESTALMAT EC program, share a passion: deciphering the universe. Their taste for this set of detectable entities has driven them in their studies and won spaces in NASA and in Olympics that bring them closer to their passion.

For these two students, ESTALMAT EC classes were a door to acquire study tools and deepen their knowledge about the universe, which has now allowed them to fulfill some of their dreams.

Odalys Quishpe, a 16-year-old native of Rio Bamboo, was selected for the program She Is Astronauta . In November of this year she will visit NASA facilities and receive training to strengthen her passion for STEAM careers.

For his part, Adrián Araujo, a native of the province of Cañar, participated in the first Ecuadorian Astronomy Olympiad for Juniors 2023. He obtained first place in this competition and formed the first student committee to represent the country in the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics for Juniors – IOAA Jr, which took place in Greece from September 24 to 30 of this year. In this space Adrián received an honorable mention for his outstanding participation.

These achievements drive CEDIA to continue creating programs to promote interest in different sciences and careers in children and adolescents in the country.
